Please enjoy these four scenes of real-life rain sounds collected lovingly over the past year. I live in an area that is usually very rainy, but has recently been struggling with wildfires and extremely unhealthy air quality. Thankfully, I was able to evacuate safely yesterday and created this little compilation as a personal meditation and comfort. I'm sharing with you in the hopes it can offer some space and clarity back into the world. Along with the pandemic, record temperatures, and over 100 days of resilient and powerful uprisings fighting for Black lives, there is so much to feel. I am grieving. It is okay to be overwhelmed, angry, sad, furious, scared, disoriented (I'm reminding myself and you). Please message me ([email protected]) or comment if you need to be connected to resources on the west coast. There are many mutual aid projects, organizations and rad individuals providing support with evacuations, respiratory symptoms, mental health, housing insecurity, and more.
