ASMR Chores - Painting Door Casing

Put on your headphones and relax as I repaint an exterior door casing and ramble a bit on the history of house paint. Who among us likes to paint their home? Whether it’s an interior room or the front porch, painting the house is a chore that I don’t care to do, but I begrudgingly do so because it has to be done. We take house painting for granted as a way to decorate our homes and protect it from the elements, but house paint has not always been something that was readily available and painting your house might have even landed you in the stockades if you were a Puritan in 1630. Yes, house paint has a history, and I’ll lightly touch on it as I paint a weather-beaten door casing.
