For the batter: 1 1/4 cup flour 1 1/4 cup sugar 1/4 cup milk + 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 egg yolk Pinch of salt 5 tablespoons of cubed, cold unsalted butter. Use half to mix into dough and half to spread over the top of the batter granulated sugar or sugar crystals to sprinkle over before baking For canned peach filling: 2 15 oz cans of sliced peaches in juice/syrup (one can drained of the juice) 2 tablespoons brown sugar (only if you’d like more sweetness!) 1-2 tsp cinnamon (to your taste) 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1 tablespoon flour For fresh peach filling 8-10 peaches (skin peeled) sliced into eighths A squeeze of lemon juice 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/4 cup brown sugar 1-2 tsp cinnamon (to your taste) 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1 tablespoon flour
