Neolithic Revolution: How Agriculture Began (ASMR Story for Sleep)

In this soft spoken ASMR story, I tell you about the transition from the nomadic lifestyle of hunters and gatherers to the sedentary existence of the first agricultural communities. We will examine the theories that explain this radical change, how it took place, and its consequences. Some of these consequences were counter-intuitive; for example the agricultural revolution initially led to a deterioration of health and life expectancy. However, it was also a very important step that permitted an acceleration of technical progress, dramatically changed human communities, their politics, their economies, and even the way human beings see their place in nature and in the world.
