ASMRTube (asmrtube.net) is a curated catalog of ASMR videos hosted on YouTube. We do not run user accounts, do not collect names or emails to use the site, and do not run server-side analytics on visitors. This page explains what data is involved when you use the site.

Data we collect

We split data into two buckets — what stays on your device, and what reaches our server.

Local-only data (browser): your saved channels, saved videos, viewing history, theme preference, and ad-impression counters are stored in your browser via localStorage. They never leave your device unless you choose to export them. Clearing your browser storage erases them.

Server-side data: if you use the channel-submission or video-report forms, we store what you typed (handle, name, country, gender, kind, note, optional email, or the reported video ID) so an admin can act on it. We also keep a short-term log of your IP address for rate-limiting and abuse prevention; we do not link IPs to any personal account because there are none.

Third-party services

YouTube embeds: every video is played through YouTube's embedded player (youtube-nocookie.com). When you press play, YouTube may set cookies and collect data according to Google's policies.

Google AdSense: ad slots on this site, if shown, are served by Google AdSense (publisher ID pub-4430369101106965). A Google-certified consent banner asks for your choice before any advertising cookies are set.

Cloudflare: we route traffic through Cloudflare for DDoS protection and CDN delivery. Cloudflare may temporarily process request metadata such as your IP and user agent.

Cookies and consent

ASMRTube itself does not set first-party tracking cookies. Cookies that appear are set by AdSense or YouTube and are governed by their respective policies. EEA, UK, and Swiss visitors see Google's consent banner and can update their choices at any time.

Your choices

You can clear localStorage at any time from your browser settings; this removes all your saved channels, videos, and history. To opt out of personalized ads, use Google's Ads Settings or your browser-level controls. Because we keep no user accounts, there is no separate account to delete.

Children

ASMRTube is not directed at users under 16 and does not knowingly collect data from them.

We will update this page when material changes happen and bump the date at the top.
