The lost pseudoscience of mesmerism, a worthy subject of an ASMR video. There is very little information on mesmerism, which is kinda the predecessor of hypnosis. The basic concept is that the founder believed a universal fluid, similar to chi/qi, flowed through people & when there was an imbalance, there was illness. By using certain hand positions & movements, one could influence the fluid and bring balance back into the body. This is, of course, a debunked/pseudoscientific belief, but it make for a relaxing subject for ASMR. Hope y'all will enjoy!
