This is the highly controversial case of the murder of Meredith Kercher. Meredith was an exchange student at the University of Perugia in 2007. The man convicted of killing 21-year-old UK student Meredith Kercher will finish his sentence doing community service, an Italian court has ruled. Amanda Marie Knox is an American author, activist, and journalist. She spent almost four years in an Italian prison following her conviction for the 2007 murder of Meredith Kercher, a fellow exchange student who shared her apartment. In 2015, Knox was definitively acquitted by the Italian Supreme Court of Cassation.
