(ASMR) I Did A Virtual Piano Recital

Thank you for everything. In this #asmr video, we do my most ambitious project yet, a VIRTUAL classical piano recital! Being a YouTuber was my dream job ever since I was a kid and being able to create videos everyday for my audience is nothing short of a miracle. But, before being known as “Jojo’s ASMR” and getting to where I am today, I originally intended on being a trained classical pianist (most likely a music teacher). From a young age, mom made me practice the piano for hours and even though I initially hated it, I fell in love with classical music. Towards the end of high school, I embarked on my ASMR journey and since then, I have been one of the few lucky individuals in this world to make Youtube videos every day. However, with my attention spent on this, I had neglected my piano playing and lost many of the skills I had learnt throughout the years. After completing all of my grades, music exams and finishing my Bachelors Degree of Music (Performance) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music (University of Sydney), I found that I hadn’t much reason to continue playing as I had nothing to work towards. So, at the beginning of 2024, I decided to embark on this project combining my passions for both ASMR and classical music; a classical piano recital with some of the most iconic “sleep-time” songs ranging from Bach to Beethoven to Debussy and Sakamoto. In collaboration with the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and University of Sydney, I recorded this immersive virtual piano recital, where the viewer is brought into my world. This ambitious project takes the production level of my videos to a new level which I hope you will enjoy. This thirty-five minute long recital and program comes straight from my heart as a small gift to my audience and to Youtube for their support over the past decade. As a content creator at the forefront of the ASMR community, I strive to push the genre to its absolute limits and explore new ways to give people ASMR. This recital is intended to be a premiered event where the public will be able to watch the recital live in real-time!
