What is ASMR? I'll try to explain it to you as clearly as possible in this video. Don't be surprised—I deliberately speak quietly and slowly throughout, because that's important when discussing ASMR. ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) refers to a pleasant tingling sensation in the body that many people experience in relaxing situations—especially in relation to a specific person. Examples of situations in which many people experience ASMR, or in which you might experience it: When someone combs/styles your hair When someone applies makeup When someone calmly shows you an object, taps it with their fingers, and speaks softly During home shopping channels (the products themselves are much less interesting than the soothing way the saleswomen present them) Whispering in your ear Smacking sounds Being stroked and much more. When someone is brushing your lips ASMR is a tingling sensation we can experience in relaxing situations. This state can feel almost paralyzing, but also very pleasant and comforting. It's addictive—but it would be a healthy kind of addiction :). You feel hypnotized, like you're in a tingling, pleasant trance. Have you ever experienced it? Apparently, every second person in the world has. Are you one of them? :) I hope you enjoy the video. Best regards, Jenny
