Today, let's take a trip to the far north and have a look at the vast and spreading routes of the Vikings. Of course they're mostly known for raiding the Frankish lands and the British isles, but they also entertained extensive trade networks in the East with Slavic groups and the Byzantine empire. Plus they explored the Northern seas, making it all the way to the American coast where they even built settlements for a while. I hope you enjoy this topic as much I liked researching it!
