I rambled... But I think I was too upset to convey my thoughts thoroughly. So here is my post-ramble addendum... I'm tired of seeing performers in our community getting ripped off. I'll assume most listeners who follow a performer closely will know of this issue. But I just want to reiterate for those who may be unaware how pervasive stolen content is. Performers in the GoneWildAudio community are often targets for thieves who want to use our voices for their own self-promotion. They'll upload our hard work to their sites (YouTube, Pornhub, Patreon etc...) for profit. Most of us in the community perform for free, so when our work is stolen, it's a slap in the face. Some of us are scared to fight back in fear of being doxxed. Some of us don't even know it's happening. It's usually a listener with a sharp ear who'll notify us when they find stolen work. Taking down a fake YouTube channel is hard. They often pop back up. Same goes for other sites. It's a constant and tiring battle. It's discouraging to see your work stolen again and again. At some point, you might just call it quits. At some point, performing will cause you more harm than happiness. This is what performers in the community have to deal with. So if you listen to audios outside of Reddit, please be wary of who you follow. And if you suspect work is stolen, speak up. How do you know if a channel or site is suspicious? 1. They upload voices from different performers 2. No credit or links back to a performer 3. The uploader does not interact with their listeners 4. NSFW content. Most of us in the GWA community are smart enough to know erotic audio is against YouTube policy Looking for more Skitty?
