You see quite often the root cause of a spine being out of place is the surrounding tissue, the muscle and the fascia as was the case for my friend Jodie here. So I worked to ease the muscle and fascia surrounding her spine and as I worked and as the tissue softened her spine began slowly moving back into a more neutral position. Some of you may watch what I do and think well looks same as any other massage Shane has done but those eagle eyed amongst you will notice how I try one technique and watch how here body reacts slowly and patiently allowing her body to relax in order to release her spine and ultimately give her more mobility and less pain/ stiffness. If you watch you shall see me using pressure points to work the energy and meridians, soft tissue work to warm and loosen superficial muscles. Fascia release techniques to do just that ease the fascia and stretch it so it can re-knit it self in a better more efficient pattern. And of course deep tissue work to help release those deeper tissue and ultimately allow the spine to breathe and move again.
