Relax and journey with me back to the days when steel rails provided the essence of luxury transcontinental travel aboard Santa Fe's flagship passenger train, the Super Chief. Made famous by Hollywood and those that rode her, the Super Chief lives on in railroad history now more than forty years since its last run between Chicago and Los Angeles. I'm not an artist, but this doesn't stop me from tracing, sketching, and outlining my way through what is a typical rendition of the Super Chief as it blast through a sweeping turn on the Santa Fe high-iron somewhere between Chi-Town and the City of Angels. Some of what I say in this video is common knowledge for railroad buffs like myself, but Wikipedia as well as various other websites were useful in gathering additional information and arranging my thoughts on the subject. This video does not cover much of the technical side of the famous train, but is rather just an overview of its legendary history. As for my black and white depiction of the Super Chief, you'll notice that it's in what I call a coloring-book format. In the future I hope to make a video where I color this scene. Originally another YT video maker colored this picture in for me, and did a remarkable job, but that person has closed their channel for reasons unknown to me. And finally, for those that realized I mispronounced Châteauneuf-du-Pape, it was meant to be humorous:)
