This video is soft spoken and intended for relaxation and educational purposes. Triggers include a light accent, page turning, book tracing and brushing. Sleep well! ❤ Books used in this video are: Marianne Rumpf. Perchten: Populäre Glaubensgestalten zwischen Mythos und Katechese. Clemens Zerling, Christian Schweiger. Masken im Alpenraum: Perchten, Tresterer, Wilde Leut'... (though I would note that the text feels somewhat outdated in that it lacks sensitivity and reflection) And not used, but a very comprehensive analysis is in Johannes Ebner. Tradition ohne Vergangenheit: Zur sozialen Neudefinition von alpinen Maskenbräuchen. As for English books, there's Alan Ridenour and Alan Tejaratchi. The Krampus and the Old Dark Christmas. Roots and Rebirth of the Folkloric Devil. (which I haven't read but from a few quick glimpses seems to give a good overview of the different kinds of masks and traditions and their nebulous past) *** You can support my channel via: https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/melan...
