Hey guys! I wanted you give you an update on my derealization/depersonalization recovery story. I discovered that my DPDR was caused by vision problems and I recovered by simply doing eye exercises and by avoiding visually stressful tasks. I also wanted to share my theory, based on my DPDR experience and recovery, why these issues are causing derealization/depersonalization. I have spoken to other people with DPDR about their vision and they are experiencing similar problems and could see symptoms being reduced with the same kind of exercises. I would like to hear if this is also what you have and if these exercises help you recover. The problem with my vision was a dysfunction regarding gaze, smooth pursuit and saccades. In short for recovery: Do these exercises 6 days a week and once per day. Each exercise for 3 minutes. When doing them you wanna train precision, which can be tricky and hard to control. The goal is to fixate on the points. If you are just looking at it while letting the frame move, you are not gonna see much progress. If you get tired in your eyes you can do less or take breaks. Reduce screen time, especially any fast moving visuals, like scrolling on your phone/video games. Good luck guys :) I wanted to keep this video short and simple.
