In this video, I’m talking softly about Oak Ridge, Tennessee, the secret city where the Manhattan Project made uranium for the atomic bomb during World War II. I made a roadtrip to Oak Ridge and learned a bit and wanted to share! I’m definitely not an expert, but I’ll do my best to share what life was like there, how the machines worked, how young operators ran them, and what it was like for the people who had to move to make the city.
