I have been wanting to try Gardein’s meatless ‘meatballs’ for a long time now, and this was the perfect dish to do just that! So I made a big pot of my standard, go-to pasta sauce (sauteed onion and garlic with canned tomato, dried oregano, sugar, salt and chilli flakes), chucked in the vegan balls and let it simmer away on the stove for 20 minutes. This delicious sauce was paired with a store-bought packet spaghetti, home-made garlic bread (minced garlic and vegan butter spread on pane di casa bread, toasted) and some Follow Your Heart vegan parmesan. If you’re wondering what I think of the Gardein ‘meatballs’ - they’re amazing! I can’t wait to use them in more recipes and would definitely recommend them. (They taste a lot like sausage, actually.)
