My friend came over feeling really unwell. I had just returned home from the salon and noticed they weren’t doing well. They said, “Mojtaba, my whole body feels completely tight, and it’s like I’ve been beaten. I started massaging them right on the couch and noticed some areas had spasms while others were stiff. They also had a slight chill. I was able to release most of the tightness that day, and they felt a bit better. A few days later, they came back and said, “My body feels sore, but I feel much better than that day.” The lingering soreness remained because it’s not possible to release all stiffness in one session, so I continued relaxing the rest of their body. Important points: Severe stiffness cannot be fully treated in a single session. Usually, it requires 2–3 massage sessions with 3–4 days in between to allow muscles to return to their normal state. Post-massage soreness usually comes from the pressure applied during the massage or remaining tension in the muscles. Even under the shoulders, there were small spasms. With simple techniques and stretching, most stiffness can be relieved, but you should focus on the specific tight area or muscle.
