I used to study Latin in school for over 6 years...I forgot the majority of it, and was surprised by how much I still understood while reading these short texts. However, I never studied Latin professionally, so my pronunciation, intonation, and stress of the words probably isn't correct most of the time. You might be one of those people who experience this sensation regularly, but maybe had no idea that there was a name for it.
