Longish caption ahead: Hi! It's good to see you. As someone who is chronically anxious, I relate when my overthinking mind takes over, and all I am left with are wandering thoughts and crippling anxiety (it's so fun! haha). In this video, I talk about how I handle my anxiety, often through recognizing that anxiety is our body's (possibly warped) way of protecting us—even though in the moment it may not feel like protection. As well as not trying to push the thought away or trying not to think it, but rather accepting the thought as what it is—just a thought. This has really helped me in not criticizing or invalidating my feelings, but instead giving myself extra grace, compassion, and kindness when dealing with anxiety—giving me space to breathe through and process it. I didn't have much of a plan going into this video, but I hope some of it resonates with you and that you got at least a sliver of relief. I also include random triggers at the end for funsies. Know that you are not alone in this! Take time for yourself & I'll see you soon! -Aslyn 00:00 Intro! 02:00 Anxiety techniques 03:08 My dog!! 10:08 Random triggers
