#stanleyhotel #stephenking #overlook In 1974 writer Stephen King and his wife were driving through Estes Park Colorado, in the middle of a snowstorm – they ended up not being able to drive any further and decided to stop for a night in an old hotel overlooking the city. That hotel was The Stanley. After finding out that the hotel was closing for the winter, but that they would be allowed to stay one night – their evening was spent in a very creepy old building as the only guests, with the wind howling relentlessly. That night Stephen King claimed he saw an apparition, and the memory of that haunting evening inspired him to write his best seller The Shining. It’s time for us now to spend a night at the Stanley Hotel, and let the various ghosts introduce themselves to us!
