Summer is over, and it's slowly getting dark and cold outside. Even though the transition is always a bit difficult, I really like autumn, especially because there's something so eerie in the air. One painter who perfectly captured this mood is the Norwegian Edvard Munch. Today I'd like to share these atmospheric paintings with you, from the beach and waves to the luminous autumn forests and crisp winter nights. The ASMR triggers include, as always, softly spoken German with an Austrian accent, plus this time, lots of brushes for touch-ups. The books are a catalog from the Albertina, "Edvard Munch in Dialogue," from the last special exhibition, and by Karl Ove Knausgaard, "So Much Longing in So Little Space," also available in German translation! *** Audio-only versions are available on various podcast platforms.
