Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is an experience characterized by a static feeling or tingling on the skin, typically starting from the scalp and moving to the back of the neck and backbone. ASMR is the subjective experience of "low grade happiness" characterized by "positive emotions and a distinctive static tingling sensation on the skin". This is usually triggered by specific acoustics, visual and digital media stimuli, and is less commonly triggered by intentional control of the intent.
