An extremely thorough hearing test and ear exam medical role play, with tuning forks and ear attention for relaxation and sleep. Kia ora everyone! I wanted to make a hearing test/ear exam video with more of a focus on sound perception and auditory processing. I also wanted to try out this new tuning fork! In this medical role-play, Doctor Shiver will be examing and touching your ears and using an otoscope. This is followed up with a sound perception test using the pitch fork, fidget cube (click test) and a phonetic decoding test (saying phrases at different speeds). The headphones will then go on for a modified-rhyme test (MRT) and a competing phrases test! This one was really fun to make and I found it really interesting to research auditory processing. Pō mārie, good night! "Kia ora" is a term from Te reo Māori, the language of the indigenous people of Aotearoa (New Zealand). It's a holistic term that can be used in lots of different situations. Translated literally, 'ora' refers to a state of living, or being alive. Adding 'kia' changes "ora" from a noun to a verb ('alive' to 'living'). So when you say kia ora to someone, you are wishing the essence of life upon them! "Kia ora" is commonly used as a greeting in Aotearoa, even though many of us (like me!) are not fluent in Te reo. I use it at the start of every video because it's important to me to share as much of the culture of this wonderful country as I can with you all. "Kia ora" can also be used as a way to say good luck, thank you and best wishes! https://www.newzealand.com/sg/feature... #asmr #asmrhearingtest #asmrearexam
