Sanctuary is the the first part in what will be an ongoing periodic series dedicated primarily to those who suffer with PTSD. If you don't suffer with PTSD, of course you are still welcome to enjoy this video. However, it is my goal to provide those that suffer not only with ASMR and relaxation, but with a sense and feeling of safety and security. This is a traditional, non-role play / non-performing video, where I am simply myself and help reassure the viewer by reassuring them that they are safe throughout the video, while I use various methods such as hand movements and tapping on objects to induce ASMR and provide relaxation and sleep. I've heard from various individuals that suffer with PTSD stating how much my videos have helped them relax and sleep, so it's time to do one specifically for them to see if perhaps ASMR can be used as a kind of therapy tool. I was bullied as a kid and teen in grade school and high school, though not on a severe day to day basis. However I was called names, pushed around, spit on and the final traumatic event where, after standing up to a bully one day after being picked on, I was sucker-punched right outside of school and had my jaw fractured in 2 places and had it wired shut for 6 weeks. I'm only mentioning this in this video's description, not to play the sympathy card, but so that people that suffer can understand that I also understand what it's like to go through a personal hell, even though what I went through may not be as severe as PTSD. Now that I've found peace in my life in my 40's. I want to start giving peace back to those who need it, which is the primary intent of this video. If you suffer from PTSD, I would like to ask if you could provide some feedback in the comments or send me a message directly here on YouTube and let me know if this worked for you, what didn't work, if there is something you would like me to say or do next time that I didn't do in this video, and anything else that you think might help you and others. Stay well, no matter who you are. - E. R. Why am I whispering? ASMR stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response and is the current name given to the feeling characterized as a pleasurable tingling sensation felt in the head, scalp, back and other regions of the body in response to visual, auditory, tactile, olfactory, and/or cognitive stimuli, such as crinkling bags, hand motions, whispering, personal attention and much more. Not only do my videos help induce ASMR and provide "tingles", but they also help people who suffer with anxiety, depression, stress, insomnia, PTSD and more.
