Hello, i know this isn't asmr related, but I thought since we're coming up on the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, I'd share this video with youtube. My dad recorded the original video on his camcorder. He's not a professional videographer, so I'm sorry that the original video is moving too much or blurry at times. This is raw footage. I filmed the TV screen with my phone so I'm sorry if my videoing isn't the best either. Back story: The beginning of the video is the hurricane in action. Me, my mom, and my dad stayed at my grandparents' house in Moss Point Mississippi, about 15 minutes from Pascagoula beach. Though Hurricane Katrina hit the west of the Mississippi coast line directly, the east still got obliterated. Because my grandparents house was about 15 minutes away from the beach and an hour from where it made landfall , we didn't get the worst wind damage possible, but as this video shows, trees still fell down and shingles from the roof was ripped off. As well as my grandparents' fence falling over. The flooding we experienced wasn't from the ocean directly. It was from the ocean pushing water into a nearby river, leading the river to rise and cause a tidal surge. Luckily, my grandparents lived in a two story house, so we were able to stay dry up there. Their house got around 4 feet of water. After the hurricane and flooding, my grandparents were able to get a fema trailer to stay in while they ripped the walls out of their house. Also, I'm grateful that my house at the time wasn't flooded. Just wind damage. We lived about 8 minutes north from my grandparents' house. Though, as you can see, we stayed with my grandparents through the storm.
