In this video I will explain how to finally stop binge eating with 4 top tips. If you are bingeing between 2-3 times per month these techniques should help you to stop binge eating. If you are bingeing more than this these techniques will help you to reduce the frequency and intensity of your binge eating but you may need professional in order to completely eliminate the problem. Binge eating is a common problem, in it’s milder form it leads to weight gain, anxiety and depression. In it’s more severe form binge eating is a symptom on an eating disorder. The first technique is to develop a regular and balanced pattern of eating, ideally 3 meals and 2-3 snacks combining a balance of complex carbs, protein, fruit and veg. One of the main triggers of binge eating is hunger so by balancing your blood sugar with a regular and balance pattern of eating you will reduce your vulnerability to bingeing. The second technique is to limit your alcohol, ideally to no more than 1-2 units at a time. Alcohol lowers inhibition and blood sugar, both of which make your vulnerable to bingeing. The third technique is to manage your mood. Anger, anxiety, depression and loneliness are all triggers for binge eating. So if you can tackle these your binge eating will improve. The best way to do this is to identify the thoughts that are triggering your negative mood, assess their accuracy and helpfulness and then replace them with alternative, more accurate, more helpful thoughts. This can be tricky so I have recommended a book at the end of this description that make help you. The final technique is to improve your self esteem and confidence as a belief that you are not good enough is strongly related to binge eating. The recommended book below can help you to do this.
