Hello my friends! This is another mental health meets ASMR video for anxiety! With each of these breathing techniques, I'll first teach you the basics and then incorporate ASMR triggers as we practice the techniques together. First, we'll practice square breathing (in for 4, hold for 4, out for 4, hold for 4, repeat). This section features ASMR triggers of following my finger, gloves sounds, visual triggers, and layered sounds including tapping, finger fluttering, and sugar scrub. Next, we're going to mimic a biofeedback session by synching our breath to visual cues on the screen. I'll bring my hands close to and far away from the screen both with and without gloves and the video will fade in and out. Finally, we finish with diaphragmatic breathing (in for 2, out for 4/5/6). This section also features layered sounds of some scratching noises and lid sounds. I'll be sprinkling in personal attention between each breathing technique as well. As always, my videos are not intended to be therapy. They are for entertainment/relaxation purposes only. Although I am a licensed mental health counselor and the techniques used in this video are real, it is important to acknowledge the limitations of a platform like YouTube. Therapy inherently requires the ability to have a back-and-forth conversation between therapist and client.
