Another Pinterest find and she's a beaut. This can be called nice cream or a smoothie bowl - same same, but different. (The difference being how melted it is.) To make this refreshing treat, slice a whole round watermelon in half, scoop out the flesh to create a bowl and freeze the watermelon flesh for later. To a high-speed, high-powered blender (I use a Vitamix) add some water/plant-based milk of choice, your frozen watermelon and whichever other frozen fruits you fancy and blend until smooth. I used watermelon, banana and pink dragon fruit. (The pink dragon fruit is key here to give this smoothie a gorgeous pink colour. Watermelon on its own won't cut it in the looks department, I'm afraid.) Next, add your smoothie mixture to the watermelon bowl and carefully top with chocolate chips/buttons to create your faux watermelon seeds. (I used baking buttons by the brand Sweet William which you can get from Coles Australia.) Enjoy with a straw or spoon - or, like me, both! 😜 As always, thank you for watching. ❤ ~P.S. If you've never heard of 'nice cream' before, basically it's like a healthier version of ice cream - made from frozen fruit.
