In late 1932, the Australian military undertook a wildlife culling operation in Western Australia that became known as the Great Emu War. The operation was largely unsuccessful as the emus proved to be difficult targets, leading to a widely publicized and humorous military failure. I found this not only to be a classic representation of Australian humour, but also an interesting slice of history. Thank you for watching.
