Happy 2018! Today is officially New Year’s Day in Australia and this awesome vegan snack platter is what my partner and I enjoyed last night for a quiet New Year’s Eve at home. Every few years we prefer to stay at home for NYE and this year was one of those times. It was hot, we were tired, and sitting on the couch vegging out sounded like the best possible plan for the evening. I filmed this in the late afternoon and dressed up for the video, but as soon as the camera stopped rolling it was straight into pyjamas for me, haha. Here’s what we feasted on from late afternoon until the clock stroke midnight: Pink lemonade (for me — ginger beer for him, lol) Dolmades Vegan sausage rolls Samosas Spring rolls Falafel balls Beetroot hummus Vegan ‘Southern fried chicken’ corn chips Vegan cheddar cheese, crackers and quince paste — MY FAVOURITE! Grapes Sweet and sour pickles Potato royals (little oven-baked potato bites) Cashew nuts Kalamata olives Dipping sauces (ketchup, BBQ, mustard, sweet chilli) ‘Party Os’ biscuits/cookies Skittles Vegan chocolate (“VegoBar”) — TASTES JUST LIKE NUTELLA — YOU MUST TRY IT!
