YES, I now know that it is a picnic blanket. I come across items in these boxes all the time that may not be immediately obvious to me. You'd be the same way. The purpose/use of every item that I lay my hands on in these boxes is not going to be evident right away. It's not that I've never seen a picnic blanket before; it just didn't occur to me in the moment that that's that the thing was. I've never been on a picnic in my life, and if I did go, I'd probably just take an old furniture pad or something.
