Today we're taking another look at a Flemish painting: Hunters in the Snow by Pieter Brueghel. Sometimes, the painter was also called "Peasant Bruegel" because he depicted the lives of peasants, both their celebrations and their everyday work life throughout the seasons. This painting shows life in deepest winter. While the hunters might not have been very successful, the villagers seem to have quite a good time playing and skating on the frozen lake.
