I type a 4 page letter to you and whoever else might be watching using a 1940's Smith Corona Silent typewriter to help you relax, maybe experience ASMR, and sleep (if that's possible with this kind of sound). As for the "Silent" in the model name: I believe the typewriter has a noise dampening quality, which I think means you really only hear the sound of the type bars striking the paper and platen (roller), and not so much any other part of the machine. As for what I write about, it's a bit of a rambling letter on a variety of light-hearted topics. The last time I did this type of video was 10 years ago back in April 2012. Geez, how time flies! I don't even recall what I typed back then. All I know is something bubbled up to the surface telling me it was time to do another one! I would like to do these more frequently, now that I dabble in character performances. Maybe Corvus or Margaret (two of my role-play characters) typing about their typical day at Arkham Sanitarium. Maybe a scientist from the SCP Foundation using or testing a typewriter that is an anomaly itself. Maybe someone in a post-apocalyptic world. Who knows! Maybe all of those ideas! But whatever I do next, it definitely won't be another decade from now! 00:00:00 Setting up 00:00:55 Page 1 00:18:48 Page 2 00:39:12 Page 3 00:57:23 Page 4 01:12:51 The End Channel Playlists: https://www.youtube.com/c/EphemeralRift/playlists?view=1&sort=lad&flow=grid Website ► https://ephemeralrift.com Instagram ► https://www.instagram.com/ephemeral.rift/ Twitter ► https://twitter.com/ephemeralrift1 Flickr ► https://www.flickr.com/photos/ephemeralrift/ Listen to select audio works outside of YouTube: Spotify ► https://open.spotify.com/artist/6WJUD0ljiIwxmbEzpb4onm iTunes ► https://music.apple.com/us/artist/ephemeral-rift/602599265 Patreon ► https://www.patreon.com/ephemeralrift

To listen with the screen fully off, in-browser playback stops by YouTube's design. Open the video in the YouTube app to keep listening where background playback is supported (e.g. with YouTube Premium).
