Karnak Temple construction began as early as 2055 BC. the earliest major Roman temples like the Temple of Jupiter Optimus Maximus date to around 509 BC, and the Pantheon, though an architectural marvel, was reconstructed around 126 AD. This means Karnak was already a millennium or more into its development when the Romans were just beginning to establish their architectural identity,
