Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR) is a term used for an experience characterised by a static-like or tingling sensation on the skin that typically begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. It has been compared with auditory-tactile synesthesia. ASMR signifies the subjective experience of "low-grade euphoria" characterised by "a combination of positive feelings and a distinct static-like tingling sensation on the skin". It is most commonly triggered by specific acoustic or visual stimuli, and less commonly by intentional attention control. Well, it's my first ASMR video here on YouTube and I've actually decided to just make one simply as I got a new pair of earphones and simply due to the fact that I've been recently thinking of making a channel. I've listened to ASMR for almost 5 years so I figured it's about time I give back to the community! But enough of that - I'll save that for another video maybe ;) Enjoy everyone! To listen while using other apps, switch the player to Picture-in-Picture (PiP) during playback — it keeps playing in a small floating window (the screen stays on).
To listen with the screen fully off, in-browser playback stops by YouTube's design. Open the video in the YouTube app to keep listening where background playback is supported (e.g. with YouTube Premium).
