Today we read the original version of "The Little Mermaid" written by Hans Christian Andersen. Hope you enjoy the calm vibes of the whispering despite the story being quite tragic compared to the Disney animation. I find the little mermaid's desires to be relatable. Her dreams of marrying and becoming human was frowned upon by her grandmother. The mermaid's dream in our eyes may also feel impractical and filled with unnecessary sacrifice. But perhaps many of our dreams are along the similar vein. What do we sacrifice on the way of making our desires a reality? For example, it is not wise to stress boatloads and damage our health in pursuit of money and success, however it happens on a daily basis all around the world. Understandably, we may pursue what we feel strongest in our hearts no matter what the cost. While the fairy tale was published in 1837, we can always reflect and learn something from those who lived long before us ❤️ FOLLOW ME ► Instagram: @asmr_bedtime ► Twitter: @asmr_bedtime ► Facebook: / asmrbedtime MY OTHER CHANNELS ► Miss Mina (Food & Travel Around the World): / missminaoh ► SweetAndTastyTV (Food & Travel in Korea): / sweetandtasty
