Welcome to the Cozy Hospital! You're currently in our nursing school program studying to become a nurse and wanted to get some extra help so you've scheduled a one on one session to learn some skills. Your teacher will show you different instruments and supplies and then slowly walk you through learning how to do a syringe blood draw. This video has a little more talking than normal, just to give you a heads up. I love unintentional ASMR videos like with Dr. Hollie Berry and this was inspired a little by those. 0:00 Intro 0:09 Walking into the lab, flipping through binder to sign you in 1:41 Dressing you in a PPE gown 4:37 Going over what you know 5:53 Showing you the bin of supplies 6:13 Showing you different tourniquets, crinkles, velcro 10:15 Quizzing you some more 10:45 Showing you syringes, more crinkling 13:52 Pep talk to help you through anxiety 16:13 Putting on gloves 17:59 Setting up for a blood draw 18:33 Arm vein exam 22:00 Tying and explaining how to tie a tourniquet 24:36 Gathering supplies, tubes 26:47 Cleaning the venipuncture site 28:06 Showing how to use the needle/syringe 29:36 Needle stick time 31:58 Supervising you as you do the blood draw now 35:12 Bandaging the arm 36:55 Writing up your performance review 43:26 Quietly working; writing, page turning with sheet protectors Please be aware that this video is intended for entertainment, relaxation, sleep aid and ASMR purposes. It is not meant to diagnose, treat, educate or accurately depict issues or illnesses or procedures. Many of the procedures are altered for ASMR purposes and because I'm not filming in an actual medical facility. (Some of them are completely fictional they just involve neat sounds.) Please consult your doctor or a reputable health care source if you have any health questions or concerns. ______________ What is ASMR? ASMR is a tingling sensation often felt on the scalp, neck, shoulders and back, although you may feel tingles in other places as well! ASMR is triggered by different types of stimuli. It can be personal attention, gentle touch, hand movements, crinkling, tapping sounds... there are lots of different types of ASMR triggers and everyone is different when it comes to what triggers their ASMR!
