By popular demand: Today we're taking a look at Tarot and Tarock cards and what the difference is between them. The cards can be traced back to the 15th century. The Viscinti-Sforza deck shown here dates from that time. Tarot cards (those used for fortune-telling, such as the Rider-Waite-Smith deck) have remained quite faithful to the original imagery. Tarock cards, on the other hand, are used for games, and there have been some changes to the cards in Austria-Hungary, as can easily be seen in the Industry and Luck deck. The book is "The Cultural History of Tarock" by Robert Sedlaczek and Wolfgang Mayer. Nail polish: Catrice Take Me to Tokyo *** Audio-only version available on various podcast platforms.
