Na última ceia Jesus antecipa aos discípulos: no mundo tereis tribulações, mas tende coragem! Eu venci o mundo. Como viver esse evangelho no dia de hoje? Jesus prepara os discípulos para momentos de provação. Eles acreditam estar fortes e seguros, mas logo irão fugir e se dispersar. Jesus deixa claro que as tribulações não destruirão sua Igreja, porque ela possui fundamento divino. Por isso, cada provação vivida pelos seguidores de Jesus se torna também oportunidade de mostrar a fidelidade e afirmar a santidade. O mundo passa, mas a vitória de Cristo permanece. E é essa certeza que sustenta a Igreja até hoje: Jesus já venceu o mundo.
