Sunlight pours in through the large veranda window in my grandmother’s living room, the distant sounds of cars and birds chirping, occasional laughter from the neighbors upstairs, and the gentle hum of the refrigerator filled with my grandmother’s lovingly prepared food… As I lie around in the living room listening to these sounds, I often find myself wishing this moment could last forever.
