➤➤ Change your story. Use the template in my book The End of Your Story: https://amzn.to/4cbK33Q A guided meditation for self-respect, self-acceptance, and the moments where you feel controlled, manipulated, rejected, or unsure how to stay connected to yourself. This is not an affirmation meditation. It is not about trying to convince yourself that you respect yourself. It is a deep inquiry into what happens when you feel someone has power over you, when you start managing their reaction, shrinking yourself, defending your image, or trying to avoid rejection. In this meditation, you are guided to relax into one uncomfortable situation and look at it without trying to control yourself, the other person, or the outcome. What happens if you let them reject you? What happens if you stop protecting the version of you that needs to be approved of? From there, self-respect becomes less of an idea and more of a natural return to honesty. You may see that the person you thought was controlling you is also giving you the exact place to share who you are, what you want, what you do not want, and what you are no longer willing to perform. Listen when you feel triggered, manipulated, silenced, people-pleasing, or caught in fear of someone’s judgment. Let the body soften. Let them think what they think. Then notice what is still true.
