Nelly had a "limpia" or spiritual cleaning by a shaman during our recent trip to the Indichuris community near Puyo, Ecuador. Nelly is a big believer in the power of indigenous healing methods and the power of spiritual cleaning. She has had cleanings done before, but having a limpia done by a real shaman in the Ecuadorian Amazon Rainforest was really a unique experience. When travelling in Ecuador we like to visit indigenous communities because it allows us to get a glimpse into these cultures and helps to support local people who are struggling to find an alternative to non-sustainable resource extraction industries. The shamen's name is Mr. Jorge Vargas and this video was made with his permission. Mr. Vargas welcomes visitors from all over the world to the Indichuris community to experience the Quichua culture.
