I set out into the woods of southeastern Pennsylvania to collect a few handfuls of acorns, and as a last minute decision decide to eat 1 raw for the first time in my life. I stated in the video that I would prepare them to be eaten in the future, but after further research that is not going to happen. The process to leach the tannins from them is very time consuming and involves running them through water (cold or boiling) multiple times a day for up to a week or two. 00:00:00 Good Now & Welcome 00:06:12 Gathering Acorns 00:39:42 Eating a Raw Acorn 00:42:40 Final Thoughts Channel Playlists: https://www.youtube.com/@EphemeralRift/playlists Instagram (Wildlife Photography) https://www.instagram.com/ephemeral.rift/ Instagram (Random) https://www.instagram.com/ephemeral.rift2/ Twitter https://twitter.com/ephemeralrift1 Flickr https://www.flickr.com/photos/ephemeralrift/ Listen to select audio works outside of YouTube: Spotify https://open.spotify.com/artist/6WJUD0ljiIwxmbEzpb4onm iTunes https://music.apple.com/us/artist/ephemeral-rift/602599265 Patreon https://www.patreon.com/ephemeralrift
To listen while using other apps, switch the player to Picture-in-Picture (PiP) during playback — it keeps playing in a small floating window (the screen stays on).
To listen with the screen fully off, in-browser playback stops by YouTube's design. Open the video in the YouTube app to keep listening where background playback is supported (e.g. with YouTube Premium).
