On the menu today: delicious vegan chili dogs and onion rings! I made a 'meat' sauce by cooking the Funky Field's brand plant 'mince' with taco seasoning, tomatoes and sauteed onion and garlic. Then I assembled my dogs using a hot dog bun, a vegan hot dog sausage (Tofurky brand), a generous helping of the 'meat' sauce and a slice of vegan cheese (Sheese brand red Leicester). The onion rings were purchased from the frozen section of Aldi and I opted to oven bake them instead of deep frying them.
