On the ASMR menu today is a yummy red lentil spaghetti bolognese with garlic flat bread, made entirely from scratch! (Well, almost... the pasta was store bought. Haha.) To make the sauce, I just threw together all the usual ingredients for a bolognese: onion, garlic, carrot, celery, herbs, tomato (forgive me if this is not the traditional way to make it!) and added red lentils instead of minced meat. Red lentils are different to other kinds of lentils in that they fall apart and go mushy with prolonged cooking which makes them ideal for soaking up flavour and thickening a sauce. Not to mention they're freakin' delicious. Thanks for watching! What is ASMR? Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) is a physical and pleasurable reaction to certain acoustic, visual and/or tactile stimuli. These soothing stimuli can evoke relaxation, sleepiness, body tingling, stress relief, euphoria, comfort, and a sense of calm in those who experience ASMR. Common triggers include repetitive sounds, personal attention, soft touch, whispering and hand movements.
