On the ASMR menu today is a colourful and crunchy rice and bean salad packed with veggies. I love this dish so much that I eat it almost every day for lunch! To make the salad, add the following ingredients (in any quantity, depending on how hungry you are) to a bowl: cooked rice, cooked black beans, tomato, lettuce, cucumber, cooked corn kernels, avocado, shallot (spring onion), salt and pepper. Then add lemon juice, nutritional yeast and sriracha sauce and mix all together. I apologise once again for any undesirable background sounds in this video. There was a darn lawnmower/whipper snipper going off in the background just as I was about to take my first bite. Argh! As always, thank you for watching :) What is ASMR? Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) is a physical and pleasurable reaction to certain acoustic, visual and/or tactile stimuli. These soothing stimuli can evoke relaxation, sleepiness, body tingling, stress relief, euphoria, comfort, and a sense of calm in those who experience ASMR. Common triggers include repetitive sounds, personal attention, soft touch, whispering and hand movements.
To listen while using other apps, switch the player to Picture-in-Picture (PiP) during playback — it keeps playing in a small floating window (the screen stays on).
To listen with the screen fully off, in-browser playback stops by YouTube's design. Open the video in the YouTube app to keep listening where background playback is supported (e.g. with YouTube Premium).
